Have you ever bought one and said....

Have you ever bought a light then a few minutes later said to yourself "why did I do that?"

A few months back I ran across a Solarforce L2X host on ebay with just a few minutes left in the auction and no bids. Placed the first bid at $19 (free shipping) and well I ended up winning at that price. I immediately thought to myself what in the world am I going to do with it? I had a high voltage XRE laying around so in she went along with 4 Cr123's. I am not really happy with that configuration so I am looking to find out what people are using with the L2X??

Lastly it's not the first time that's happened and I am sure it wont be last the last time :). Heck, I just bought a "super duper" 3w smiling shark AA for $3.50.... Why oh why???

I did that with when I ordered my Skyray S-R5. I think I got caught up in the review, ordered it and realized after that I don't like the way it looks. Looks are important to me. Embarassed

It just sits in the corner collecting dust. Somebody's probably thinking right now, "nobody puts Skyray in the corner." Laughing Hmmmmm..... Maybe I'll do what Boaz did and raffle it away. Hmmmmmmmm.....

I did it when I bought my second light (I'm not taking into account 2 super cheap and super bad incan chinese lights I bought years later  ) lol  My first (CREE) light was Kingpower K2 (from SB, with OP reflector), and it offers all that I need. But I always liked these things, and now I'm a flashaholic S)

That's a great deal on the L2X (the knobby one, right?). It had the extension tube too or is it just extra long? I bought a fake Solarforce L2 with an extension tube and realized I don't have any high voltage drop-ins. So I've never used it. But I'm ready!

I bought one on ebay for $6 that I now wonder what I was thinking.

I don't even know what it is or what LED is in it...

Been there done that. I pulled the trigger on one of those L2X extended thingies, 26$ on the usual place. Afterwards I realised that there's not that many high voltage drop-ins available that I would actually care about. I did order this http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductId=11249

for it and intend to use it with 2x18650 as a hunting searchlight backup (or something...)

Oh yes many times but i got lucky in the process as there is always some1 that falls il nove with a flahlight i do not like. Sold or gifted does not matter much at least i got rid of it. :P

Send the body to me. I like those. :)

I guess it's cheaper snagging one from MF...

I'm still debating on whether to put it up for a BLF raffle.

Just between you and me maybe I will fix the raffle so that you will win.
