Another really bad deal

A friend updated his Facebook page, and for the first time in my life I clicked a Facebook ad. Well, it was for a super torch, so it would have been rude of me not to.

What a bargain! 50% off. It’s dead bright, and even comes with a free charger & battery – worth $23!!!

So here it is. Only $49.99. Free shipping.

Wait a minute, that looks like ……….. |(

But it has “Special Desing Belt Clip”!

No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket, but on the lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.

This is hilarious.

You are the light of the world. Like a city on a hill, you cannot be hidden.
People do not light a lamp and then hide it away, instead they put it where it gives lig

“Heider” should be our new codeword for companies that try to sell cheap torches at stupid marked up prices.

There’s another company called Bright Medic that tries to do the same thing. They are shameless. :~

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I laughed. I cried.
At first glance, I thought surely this must be a T6 running a 18650. I mean, you could melt butter with that beamshot. But wait! A Q5? Surely something is amiss.

Well, I was waiting for the affiliated link in the OP to generate some cash before splashing out. Wink

I knew there had been other similar rip-offs, but I didn’t get a hit on Heider when I looked. Guess I must have mistyped it.

23 USD?
Come on, this 5USD torch with worthless battery and 2USD(if anything) charger?
And these sipiks can be get under 4 in US when RALLY discounted.
So only about 1000% rabat after discount, not bad, the HEIDER logo is definitely worth it. It has “SUPER POWER” after all.

I see plenty of this style flashlight on all of those cheap Chinese flashlight websites… but I’ve never come across a review on BLF or CPF where everyone is raving about it. And none of the mainstream reputable flashlight brands carry one of them. Is the design inherently poor, resulting in a drastically reduced brightness and/or low quality beam pattern all for the ability to focus the beam?

I´ve only clicked like…. ONE facebook ad in my life. Well, the FIRST I´ve ever clicked was an ad for the Heider Torch. Till then, I was no flashaholic, but I started to google and found sooo many info and pages about the Sipik SK68 and, of course, this forum. I ordered from DX and BAM, addicted.

Thanks facebook ^^

Worst thing is that the included Li-ion battery is not even protected. So for non-flashaholic (does not know’s how to handle Li-ion) it’s usable for just one time till it is drained under recommended voltage – 2,5V (SK68/Heider also works with AA rechargable, so it should drain the Li-ion to 1,2V at least). After that, it becomes dangerous to recharge.

Cheap ****fire crap.

The beam pattern isn’t even that of an aspheric.

WOW! Thats a steal of a deal...... STEAL from the buyer that is!  I think that is the same light I bought for $7.00 or so awhile back.

I gave it away after playing with it a little. Mine must have been defective... I didn't quite get a beam like that!!!Surprised Ha!
