About 5 days ago, on a hunch I returned 1 of 2 DST’s that I bought in February. They couldn’t give me a refund because it was more than 90 days old but rather a store credit for the purchase price only, no refund on the sales tax. Even though I took a 6% hit, I can now go back and buy one for much less!

Guys, don’t get your hopes up. I just came back from a HD in NW NJ. 5C was $24.95; no 3C. I went up and down every aisle. No joy. I did notice that they had newer versions of these lights on display, so this is probably the reason for the blow out. They also had a new 2 x AA light for $19.95- not really a bargain, if you ask me.

Just got back from the HD in Westminster MD.All they had was the 5C on sale for 16.98.I don’t really care for the 5c so I passed. They did have the new Maglight 2aaa Led version for about 15$ though.Had to get the Gunmetal grey one…love that color on the Mags.I’ll keep looking around in the area, would like to get some more of the DSTs.

I gave my 3C Defiant to my Ma’ and she loves it!! I kept the 3D since it was a little heavy for her! I would love to have given her a Warrior or something but conventional batteries is more her speed.

My bright friends: Fenix TK40, Solarstorm Warrior, FandyFire UV-S5 (King), C8’s, SK68s, Defiant 3c and 3d

You can check stock on their website. But, even if a store shows as in stock, be prepared to try to get someone in the store to find it, so the best thing is to order online with store pickup. That way, you won’t have to wait around for the employees to try to find it. If you do go in store, it’ll show as “no home” on their portable scanners, and you have to find someone who can/is willing to find where they put the “no home” items. If you persist, they should be able to find them.

Did you have someone scan the light for price? My HD still has both the 5C and the DST on the floor at their original prices but they scan at 16.98 each.

The AA light is marked $5.50 now and scans at that

Yeah, your pulling posts away from my thread! Just kidding. I would have done a new post too. My store now has the DST's up by the registers kind of hidden down near floor level under other items. Were still marked $22.97 last I saw.

Thanks to Garry, I wouldn’t have known about these lights. I really like the DST & hope to mod it some. Haven’t taken the 5C model out yet. Kind of strange where they put these lights in the store. Some stores I went into are in the front as soon as you walk in by the returns, others are by self checkouts, back of the store, & in the actual flashlight section.

So, I took the 2 packs of the 2aa I bought & the 1 DST I bought, all within the last month back to HD. The returns cashier returned them and then re-rang them up at the New Lower Prices with no problem. I got back $11.84, almost enough for another light! I then bought 1 of the 5C & 5 more of the DST as they’ll be gone soon. My store had maybe 10-15 DST left and a bunch of the 5C.

Dchomak, I went back to HD again- third time today- and picked up a 3C and a 5C for the $16.98. Thanks for pointing out the obvious to me, lol. Only thing to do now is wait for darkness.

Finally got one from my store for 16.98 – 10% lowes coupon I got with the recent move. The store still has a lot of them on the box, is it supposed to go even lower? Like 6 bucks they are getting in Canada? Big Smile
