Comparison of my "Big floodiest "lights

The lights that was used in this testing are stock TR-J18, Mod’ed TR-J12 with KD monster driver, TR-J18 mod’ed with Lightmalls monster driver, Trusfire 9XT6 slightly mod’ed with dual wires and braided copper added to both springs and YIN HEX yh-x3 ( AK47 clone) mod’ed with sense resistor and added copper braid to both springs and these were the numbers from my big floodiest 26650 lights.
all lights were tested using ICR KK 26650 batteries and the light meter were set at 100K and the distance is 6 feet from the wall. ( can someone convert these numbers to lumens? :smiley: )

tested from the dimmest to the brightest in order…

First - stock TR-J18 ( 7 LEDs ) 116K

Second - TR-J12 mod’ed with KD monster driver ( 5 LEDs ) 145K

Third - UltraFire 9XT6 slightly mod’ed with dual wires from LEDs to the drivers and added copper braids to both springs
( 9 LEDs ) 148K

Fourth - TR-J18 mod’ed with lightmalls monster driver 180K

Fifth - YIN HEX yh-x3 ( 9 LEDs AK47 clone ) mod’ed with sense resistor, added R100 ( the only one i can salvaged from other driver :smiley: ) and added copper braids to both springs 245K

the only other “flood” lights that surpassed them in my arsenals would be TK75 and TK75vn ( loved this light )

Kenny - Is that the low battery indicator that's ON? My meter, though different brand, starts getting whacky readings when the low battery indicator starts appearing. Please check.

Interesting the TK75's would surpass these flooders, but, I think what you are measuring here is throw, not lumens, so the best thrower would do the best in an open area on-the-wall test, therefore, the TK75's would and should beat them. Considering these are comparable flooders, you can use this measurment method to get rough relative comparisons, but certainly a TK75 would not be a viable comparison here. As an example, if you take a measly stock Jacob A60 and tested the same way, it should beat all those multi-emitter lights shown.

The stock J18 to modded J18 though is an excellent comparison of readings.
