XinTD C8 or HD2010? I need a thrower

I have a HD2011, XIAOZHI XML T6 and Olight S20 but none seem to have much throw. I’d like a 18650 thrower. Do you recommend the XinTD v4 C8 or the HD2010?

I haven’t researched the HD2010 since last winter - if there is an alternative or updated light please let me know!

HD 2010.

TMart, US warehouse. Have it in 5-7 days.

I meant to ask…is the HD2010 using an 18650 still a better thrower than the XinTD C8?

My ZY-T13 (stock driver xml2) throws a bit better than my HD2010 but it uses 2 18650 in series.

All things equal, the bigger diameter reflector wins, so I believe the HD2010 would win an apples to apples comparison. IIRC, the HD2100 allows a 26650 which could have less battery sag and that might also help.

Look through some recent threads on which ones have come with good drivers, but from memory the TMart Tangfire version has been pretty good and their US Warehouse is close to you. If you don’t get lucky on the driver, they are relatively inexpensive to replace. Get good Japanese cells and not XXXfire.

You can see a stock HD2010 here. From memory a stock C8 is maybe 50-70% of the HD2010 throw (but that will depend somewhat on which LED is in the particular stock C8). Both can be modded to much higher as you can see with the heavily modded C8.

You can give up flood for throw by changing and/or dedoming the led. XML2 will have more lumens and somewhat less throw at the same power/draw than XPG2 and especially XPE2.
