Olight A3T mini review

Running real late on this. I won this several weeks ago in a ryansoh3 give away. Thanks again. It has been my EDC for about 4 weeks now. I am using it with one AAA Ni-MH Ever Ready. It is certainly not a blazing torch to be seen from afar but is very nice for close up use such as mail box check, finding the keys to the car, or use in the house. I have it clipped to my key ring that stays in my pocket.

I seem to have read somewhere that one should not use a li-on in this light? Not much area to dissipate heat? I am not sure which led is being used.

Last photo includes my Case knife. It has been my EDC since I bought it in 1973. Worn really smooth.

I tried using a 10440, but the protected one I have won’t fit, so i kept using envelops. Not as bright as my 09, but very nice, and with a lovely moonlight mode. Bright enough for a keychain light, and very nice

its amazing you EDCed that knife for 40 years, but most amazing is how is it possible to carry it everyday without loosing it!

Now that you mention it…I believe it was only 1976. I had one just like it that I bought first, but a gentleman told me he would give me the price of a new one…which was about $9.50 as I recall. He was some kind of knife collector and liked it for some reason that I don’t recall. So I bought this one. I’ve lost it a time or two in the couch cushion or in the washing machine. But I would tear the house apart till I found it.

just 38 years? oh, ok, there is not merit on that…
nice story, i bet you’ll be really sad if you loose it

My dad is 83. He has one a lot older than mine. His blade is a lot thinner though because of the time he cut a lamp cord. Oh yeah, it was still plugged in. He lost about an 1/8 of an inch of the blade after he resharpened the gash out. Didn’t shock him though…somehow.

he was luck not to be burnt. its difficult to be shocked doing that, the current will flow from phase to neutral across the blade, leaving you alone, and that short will trip the fuses or switches so the cord will not be dangerous anymore. but in the moment of the short, a big amount of heat is produced in a tiny spot, it could seriously damage some fingers or the whole hand…
but it was a lesson learnt, I´m sure he will check 5 times before cutting a cord!
