At that price plus shipping, you might as well have a hobby charger, that allows you to monitor the way it charges every time you charge.

And if you build a battery holder to take your 8 cells, you will also conveniently end up with a battery holder to charge the cells with your hobby charger.

The iCharger (mroe expensive) can measure internal resistance of your cells, a direct measurement of the performance of your cell

I think it's added to the system so when you're out riding  or electric scooting you know when you have a battery problem  and catch it before you burst into flames ..You'd only need about 4000 of these for your tesla roadster.

Yeah I normally use one on the field to check which batts are charge/discharged and the cell balance after running the cells, but from a BLF point of view, its harder to use because we don't have the batteries wired up as it is in RC.

I think it still comes down to having a good battery holder...
