XM-L T6 vs. XM-L T3 beamshots

I've just recieved an XM-L T3 emitter from LED-TECH.de(Vectrex was a darling and helped me save shipping), and I thought I'd share a few preliminary beamshots. The driver I use with it is http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150519365940 (apparently, it's a 5-mode. I thought it to be singlemode). The whole thing is used in a P60 pill, with a OP reflector.

My multimeter is quite crappy, so the amperage readings is propably way wrong, but it doesn't look like there is any PWM at high on eigher drop-in, so readings should be comparable

To business!

T3 dropin(OP): 1.7A(18650 battery)

T6 dropin(Smooth): 1.36A(RCR123 battery)

T3 dropin(OP): 1.7A(18650 battery)

T6 dropin(Smooth): 2.2A(18650 battery)

Incandecent Maglite Mini AA and T3 Drop-in on low(amperage draw unknown).

While they differ quite a bit on the picture, they are really similar in tint in real life.

I'll try to measure both of the drop-ins with a decent multimeter next time I'm at school. Unfortunately I can't change the exposure on my camera, so that'll have to wait untill I have a friend over with a DSLR. Also, they are quite crappy due to the amount of light in my room. I might take some better photos later tonight when it's dark.

hard to believe they are similar tint to the eye, they look so different to the camera.

Don't get me wrong - there is a difference, and side-by-side you can see the difference. But it's not as much as it looks like on the picture.

I just took two more pictures compared to the incandecent Maglite Mini AA with another camera(that also shows the PWM from the driver):

Great beamshots! I'm a little bit jealous, still waiting for my neutral T5 :)

So shipping from western Germany to Denmark is faster than shipping to Croatia.

Yes, but Germany borders with Denmark. Between us are Austria and Slovenia :)

Well if you're that close to Austria. Why not just get it from cutter ...?? :p

Home of cutter:

whoa, I could go and pick up leds in just few hours this way

And since Slovenia is the last transit country before leaving EU... that might slowdown things. Slovenian post is quite fast to process incoming parcels... unsure of the outgoing...

There's a minor confusion here between Austria and Australia. They are only 11,500 miles (18,507.5km) apart.

Sure?

Your distance finder disagrees with mine - I just typed something like distance Vienna-Canberra into Google. Which got me 15,000km this time.

May be this map can help explain things better.

I lol’d when I saw how old this was

welcome to blf by the way

But Raccoon City’s (old) post above is worth a bump! Welcome!
