shout out to wallbuys

Just thought I would share…I recently placed a very large order with WALLBUYS. I had several e-mails back and forth with Cherry at wallbuys. She was very responsive and eager to fill my order. I arranged upgraded shipping to DHL, expensive but GOOD. The order was shipped within two days of my paypal payment, and on my doorstep 2 days after that. order-china to doorstep-4 days.

Note: I have had several orders from various vendors in china shipped DHL and I have had complete satisfaction, even with li-ion batteries. They simply know how to get things moved through customs.

And how ‘expensive’ would that be?

Thanks, that does sound fair, was it a big box and heavy?

I ordered a sine wave inverter from an eBay seller in China about a year ago and they had free shipping via DHL included in the price. When they showed up (again within days) I expected the customery ‘brokerage fees’, and some inappropriately calculated duties. I was pleasantly suprised that they just collected $8.00 in GST and that was it. (The inverter was supposed to sustain 1500 Watts and would only do 900 in the end and I ended up in a dispute with the seller). I would have received an order of lights from Shanghai last year via DHL, but DHL refused it because it had batteries and they sent it EMS instead. It took a few days longer, but also worked out well, and was about 40% cheaper as I recall.

about 20 lbs and about 20inx20inx20in.

YMMV. just my experience. Ric at CNQ has upgraded to DHL for me a few times and that went well too, even for batteries.

From what I understand commercial shippers like DHL have fewer restrictions when it comes to batteries because they are not transported on passenger planes whereas most of the postal shipments get tossed on the remaining space of passenger planes.

That’s nothing. Few years ago DHL managed to deliver ath-a700 headphones from Japan (friday afternoon) to Croatia (monday noon) for a pretty small shipping fee (around 20$) and without additional fees from our local DHL robb.. partner.

Also look at this tracking number: http://ips.posta.hr/IPSWeb_item_events.asp?itemid=RB597921683CN&Submit=S...

Pretty good for regular airmail in holiday season

I know if I looked and looked, I could probably find it, so does anyone know what it is for January?

Hmmmm. Eye balls rolling.... there is a huge thread about wallbuys, and current codes are always listed in the opening post, as well as in posts made by members.
