I beat the hell out of the Tmart 502 while working on my brakes all day long. It is a pretty good garage light and that's really the only place I am hard on my lights. That's the only flashlight related thing I did today.

I carried my recently tritted D10 Grey... Love looking into my jacket to see the glow of some radioactive gas + yellow output phosphor.

Unless she's serious drinker..  Getting hammered for getting hammered and getting hammered leaves you feeling hungover, abused, and somehow cheap.

yes she is a female. But her rear end is the size of a door way and she is twice my weight. Not a happy experience.

You poor guy! She's compensating for not only being female but also being an unattractive one. I would NOT want to be in your shoes.

Today is too early but last night I spent a couple hours working on a new pill for lights I plan on selling. Here is what I accomplished in that time but I'm sure any following ones will go quicker. If only I had a lathe life would be much easier! Silly

As for today so far, I did clip a lanyard onto today's carry light and put it in my pocket.

Today... I actually used my SRM 763, thus justifying the purchase!

... I used a $10 knife to cut a $10 sandwich, sadly.

finished my ultrafire c2 with xm-l t4 and 8amc kd driver (set to 3 modes), had to remove the driver spring and cut the spring in the tailcap, but it's working nicely and I love that thing

I spent an honest two hours trying to get my free Ultraifre C1 host from Dino Direct to work. The clicky switch was a catastrophe and required extensive modification before the light would work very aggravating. The final result is a working light with a tail cap that doesn't quite fit right with a 1-2mm gap from being able to screw all the way on. Had I paid for this light I would have sent it back because the switch was junk. This took a lot of time away from other projects i had planned on working on.

The Legion is more of a thrower, but has a narrow spill.

I had to answer the question my wife asked, "Did you buy something from DealExtreme?" I said yes and she said "OK cool, just wanted to make sure it wasn't fraud."

Now my ex-wife, she would have thrown a fit saying "You don't need another flashlight!!!"

That's why she is my ex and I love my current wife very much.

I've got lots of bright ideas.

Those of us in AZ know of an annoying bug that is only annoying in the summer, I think they are called Cicadas. They make a LOUD buzzing sound constantly in the trees. Well tonight I decided to see if I could actually "see" them in the tree so I broke out a 700 lumen light and lit up the tree. Instantly the buzzing sound stopped! I turned the light off and the buzzing resumed. Turned it back on and... silence. Hmmmm... I may be on to something here. Apparently they don't like light. Which is odd because they also buzz during the daytime. I'm gonna have to experiment with this more.

I've got lots of bright ideas.

After the SkyRay debacle, I figure I'd have a modding session to clear out the negative energy. Smile So I managed to mod my 980L to a T4 XM-L with 5 tint (not sure which bin exactly) and change the driver to a NANJG 105c. The light is now entirely reasonable and not the complete madman that everybody loves (tentatively). Silly

I also took my new Ultrafire MCU-C88 (its the triple AA light) and swapped out the Q5 and driver for a T6 3 tint XM-L and a 105c. Now THIS is a light! It has a tighter spot than the 980L and has a pill with MUCH more mass. I'm getting 2.7A from 3 Duraloops and I'm considering putting in the UF driver from the 980L because its so well heatsinked I think I could give it more. I'm surprised they haven't made an XM-L version of this yet.

Today I finally found some time to tinker with this light. First I tried to re-program the MCU, but since it wouldn't respond to ISP, I replaced it with a PIC12F683. I have never used this MCU before, so I spent almost six hours figuring out how to do simple digital input. (Hint: you need to configure three(!) registers for this. Five if you want to enable the pull-ups.) And people wonder why I prefer to use Atmel-MCUs...

As with 80% of the year, spent almost all day lying down on the living room sofa-bed. Playing with some of my lights.

Crohn's disease sucks!!
