does anyone know how to remove the pill from this fenix LD01 ss?
Hello; in Forolinternas you can see a thread about the Fenix E05 disassembly; E05 and LD01 have the same structure, their heads split into two parts that are glued.

Does it require heat to crack the head open?
No heat; I unscrewed the two parts of the head of my E05 using pliers and duct tape to protect the (very worn) anodized:
