1*32600(?) MT-G2 P0 Bike Light on Kickstarter (Australia Based)

I stumbled upon this Australia based Kickstarter while perusing Interbike 2014 articles, and the battery specs along with the overall form factor speak to me that it might be a single 32600 light from its 5000mAh claimed rating, while its external battery pack might be a 2*32600 configuration for its 10,400mAh claimed rating.

Along with the cell config, its running on a single MT-G2 P0 @ 1800lm (4A Turbo?), while the high mode is 1200lm.

Rather short SMO reflector eh? Interesting light, but I don't know if it'll be 250AUD (226USD) interesting enough of a buy. Aussies BLF'ers may want to check this out.

Looks great. I think November delivery is incredibly optimistic though - seems they only have 1 working prototype right now. They’ll need to refine the beam pattern a little. It’s a bit offensive to oncoming traffic as it is now.

For the rest of us here there’s DIY!

Diameter of the middle section is 32 mm, leaving now wall thickness for 32600's. It might be 26650's, which I still find very appealing.

Battery looks like 26650 to me. Also looks like the driver is at the back. I wonder how good the thermal path is, the pill looks smallish and connects directly to the +battery. Honestly, I’m not that interested… all except for the driver. They drive an MT-G2 from a single lion!

I think you will find that the 32mm refers to the inner diameter

But still a very thin walled tube with no fins, bet it will get hot, 1800lm out of a MT-G@ is about 2.5A at 6v = 15w to get rid of.
I would be interested to see the driver, it must be a boost as a 5000mah cell lasts from 45~60min putting out 2.5A so double that for in (+ a bit for the driver).

I hope they put a multi facet lens (like a car headlight) on the front to stop glaring the oncomming traffic, shine a light like that at me while I am driving and you will get high beam plus driving lights, it will not be me that cannot see J)

Cheers David

I personally give any company that has obvious misspelling on their website a red flag. YMMV.
