Not the exact batteries OP is looking for, but I won’t be buying any AW cells in the future. At least not from Lighthound.
I bought four AW RCR123A batteries from them. They are rated at 750 mAh but the highest one out of the four tested on my Opus at 565 mAh, with the average for the four being 559 mAh. My Opus analyzing charger loves all the batteries I bought from Ilumn, GoingGear and Amazon. The eFest IMR 16340 cells I bought from Ilumn are only rated at 550 mAh but the highest one tested at 594 and the average of the four was 577—higher than my li-ion AW cells! Even the cheap Chinese DLG cells test higher than their rating, so I know it’s not my charger.
Maybe I got a bad batch, or maybe those AW cells aren’t what they’re cracked up to be. It’s a random assortment of tests, but as I get a new batch of at least four batteries, I am documenting the test results here on my technology blog. Maybe AW started slacking because of their good rep. All I know is that my first ever batch are crap, and there won’t be a second batch. Testing all my batteries has been an enlightening experience to say the least.
News to only yourself……had you done some research prior to buying then you’d know that they normally have 550mAh rating on those cells. They are labeled 750mAh but always test out around 550mAh. Same thing goes with 90% of the batteries we use
90% of the batteries I use test at or higher than rated capacity on my Opus. I have 3 year old TF Flame batteries in 18650, 14500 and 16340 formats that test higher than their ratings after several years of being treated unkindly. I could’ve stuck with any number of great cells like the EagleTac 16340s I bought from GoingGear a couple years ago, which still test higher than their rated capacity, but I wanted to see these AW cells for myself that lots of people rave about. Let’s just say that as far as testing goes, I’m from Missouri. Which is why I bought those UF NiMH batteries as well. So it’s not a loss when they were purchased mainly to test. I trust none of what I hear and only half of what I see, so “news” does nothing for me.
Data doesn’t lie, and there’s no such thing as too much data … just don’t say anything bad about AW on that other board since they are clearly in bed together _crude_sexual_reference_goes_here

i just busted open a panasonic cgr-d08r camcorder pack and inside are 2 cgr17500 cells.
ebay is full of these packs some at $6 free shipping for 2 cells.
thanks for the hint. I want to use 2 17500 in a 9p size light but I don’t want to bore it out.

Recycling is probably better than being buried with your batteries / but i understand ..My family has threatened to bury me with my flashlights... .So now i'm looking for moonlight modes on all my lights since eterni8ty is a very long time

my problem is that i am not sure how much longer it will run and my girlfriend that carried out my will missed the part about taking the big box of whateverfires to the county hazardous waste dropoff.they are now leaking and offgassing.
