Your favorite brand

Specifically for batteries such as AAA, AA, C and D cells, what is your favorite brand of rechargeable and why?

Links appreciated if you have a good deal.

Thank you

for AAA, AA, the general consensus is enloops, and tenergy for the C and D cells.

for non-rechargeable, the energizer lithiums are generally king, but they are not cheap.

Thank you.

rechargeable AAA or AA definitely Eneloop hands down, I have no use of C size, for D I use dual AA to D adapter

Ikea Ladda rechargeable also not so bad

None any of my Eneloops gone bad in years, they are very robust

I use in disposal Duracell duratum in my insulin pump and they last about 2 weeks longer than standard engines I like the eneloops because I find them at Costco cheap , same with the AA’s and to be honest I haven’t used C or D cells in over 10 years sorry about the lack of information. Hope it helps though.

Eneloop is the gold standard in NiMH batteries

Eneloop. And if you have the money, Eneloop Pro.

I second the Energizer Lithiums in non-rechargeable applications.

Unlike Alkaline cells, the lithium ones don’t leak.

I’ll third this. Also, I have never found any devices that don’t work on 1.8V L91’s however I’ve ran across several different things (my EOTech 512 included) that no longer has LVP (low voltage warning/protection) when running the L91’s.

As far as NiMH’s- I’m using only eneloops / Duraloops now days for AA (sti have some AAA energizer’s and even some rayovac hybrids) but every once in awhile, if I need to gift some NiMH’s to someone and can’t wait on shipping I’ll buy the chrome energizer 2500’s, they were the first LSD NiMH I was really happy with, perform well and self discharge VERY VERY slowly.

Also I should mention, the first 2 years I used them I was using a timer based dumb charger and when I got my first smart charger and tested them they were all >80% cap and all refreshed back to 100% of spec (and higher, some >2600)!

Where did you find the dual-AA to single D adapter to ?

Although enloops are called the gold standard I have found that the Tenergy Premium lasts longer in my lights. For example
Fenix LD01 AAA Mid

Tenergy Prem 3hrs 51min
Eneloop 3hrs 0min

Hi Tenergy Prem 2hrs 20min
Eneloop 1hr 35min
EBL 1hr 57min

4 Sevens 1 AA Med

Tenergy Blue 6hr
Eneloop 6hr 26min
Tenergy Prem 7hr 49min

Now eneloops cost from $3 - $4 ea as opposed to about $1.75 ea for the Tenergy. Accordingly, I buy Tenergy Premium and Centura. I also recently purchased some Duracell ion core batteries. They did well although they cost more than the Tenergy.

Streamlight ProTac 2AA Hi

Duracell ioncore 4 hr 30 min
Eneloop 2 gen 4hr 9min
Tenergy Centura 4hr 13 min
Tenergy Prem 4hr 49min
Tenergy Blue 4hr 15min

I have not used rechargeable C or D batteries, but got some adapters and use AA eneloops in my C battery lights.
Sorry I cannot make the format of this post do what I want, but it will work I guess.

Regards,
Jerry

Eneloops are the absolute best.

This is what I’d go with as well.

My favourite are AA sized Eneloops, I have plenty of other brand AA/AAA’s rechargeable LSD batteries as well as non-lsd ones, yet Eneloops are the best out of all!
