I have seen a few positive comments regarding the Eagle Eyes F35. Has anyone compared it heads up to a Fenix P35? I wanted a less expensive 18650 light with a forward switch and different levels. I have been in the Nitecore, Sunwayman, Surefire, 4Sevens, Fenix, etc. ranks for years but I want to cut back on cost and get 3 or 4 of the same light.
My neighbour has the F35, I’ve had it in my hands and it feels great. Ordered one a week or so ago.
I might mod it tough, will decide that when I have mine in hands. I kinda like the UI with clicky(don’t know if forward) and side switch.
It is a good light as is.
But all the other lights mentioned will be at least equal or quite a bit better.
The Fenix is the brightest. Its turbo is better than that on the P12. They all have a similar UI with forward switches. I can guess that the F35 puts out just as advertised at about 700-800Lm. With some modding the EE should do just as well as the Fenix if not better. Mine only draws about 2A max but I have not torn it apart.
The PD35 is not twice the light of the EE F35 if consider suggested retail. Plus, when you take the additional 8% with the BLF code at Banggood it is well worth the money and even better if you utilize the quanity discount.
I just looked at the specs of the EE F35, and I’ve got to admit…
For $26 it looks mighty impressive. I’ve got the Thrunite TN-12 (which I like a lot )
but costs almost exactly twice as much.
I can assure you that the EE specs are not exaggerated like the other manufacturers usually do. If you like a forward clicky and a separate mode button you cannot go wrong with the F35.
I have looked at the similar Nitecore, Thrunite and Fenix and the prices are hovering about $50 to $60. The Eagle Eyes is about $25. That makes it one hell of a glove box light.
One question… Is it HAIII (hard anodized)? I can’t seem to find that info anywhere.
Yes. All of the EE's have a real HAIII ano. I have one I have been beating on for 3 months and barely a scratch. Also look at the X6 video / torture test.
Can any of you F35 owners give us a quick rundown on the light’s user interface?
Does it have memory or does it always come on in a particular mode when the tail switch is activated?
How do you cycle the modes? Do you tap the side switch, or hold it down?
Do you have to cycle through the blinkie modes, or are they hidden with a double click, or long press?
I prefer strobe to be hidden. I want this as a tool light. I want something for generally heavy use - working on the car, in the yard at night, power outages, etc.
Looks like bugsy is the man to talk to about a review.
I’ll go ahead and place an order so that I don’t need to wait too long because of the holiday rush.
