Hello

Been lurking here a while (before I even registered), figured it was time to say hello! I am new to this hobby and have yet to mod my first light, but this forum seems to be a good place for me to get started.

Prepare you wallet

Welcome to BLF!!

Flashlightwiki.com is a good place to start reading about the basics (but but you may already know the basics) and CRX has made a great compilation of all available and unavailable flashlight parts here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/23020

Welcome to BLF!

Welcome to the BLF ! H)

I thought this forum is all about ‘budget’ flashlights.

Welcome to BLF ADV

Each of us will have a personal true meaning, of course. I’d say

“Budget” is not cheap. “Budget” is not expensive.
“Budget” is good value for the money spent.
“Budget” is good learning for the time involved.
“Budget” is …. a moving target, always.
… and …
“Budge it” is what you have to do with your old lights — give’em away, thoughtfully, to people who will learn what to appreciate and how to use them.

(that’s, of course, after you take them down from the Christmas Tree where you’ll hang your last years’ collection for the holiday …)

Welcome to BLF, ADV!

welcome!

Thanks for all the welcomes. The more I surf this site, the more intrigued I get. I graduated with an Associates in electronic engineering about 15 years ago, but my career took another path and I have not been involved with electronics much since then (except dabbling a little in HAM radio). I find this site and LED lights may just reignite the curiosity I had back then.

Howdy!
