Enlan F710B vs SanRenMu 7010LUC-SA

Someone asked what the difference was between the two and if parts were interchangeable - short answer they are different and nothing will swap.
I already have quite a few SanRenMu 710/7010s so I bought an Enlan F710B to check the difference.

I chose the 7010LUC-SA because it is the original SRM710 with just a number swap to bring it into line with the newer SanRenMu’s.

Differences between SanRenMu 710/7010 and Enlan F710B

Spacing of scale screws equal from lanyard hole on F710B.
Spacing of pocket clip screws wider on F710B.
More pronounced heel on tang of F710B.
Jimping wider spaced on F710B.
Thumbstud different shapes.
Cut out in scale for thumbstud double scallop on F710B, smoother curve on SRM 710/7010.
Relief cut for framelock nearest blade on F710B, away from blade on SRM 710/7010.
Different scale patterns.
Phosphor bronze washers both sides of blade pivot on SRM710/7010, only on lock side on F710B Nylon on opposise side.
The inside relief on the Enlan looks smoother, it also has a black line around the edges of the scales.
Straight out of the packets with no breaking in or oiling the Enlan felt gritty and a bit harder to open, this will go away with a bit of maintenance. The scales on the scale give the Enlan more grip from the stainless steel then the sand texture on the SanRenMu.
Both were sharp as they should be, well centred, no play in any direction.
Both knives would serve well as a small to mid sized EDC, both giving exceptional value for money.
Your choice, either way you’ll be buying a good knife.
As of Jan 2015 Enlan/Bee F710B $8.08. SRM 710/7010LUC-SA (oldest shape) $8.31. - Both from FastTech.

Nice summary Steve.
But which one do you prefer?

I am a big fan of the 7010LUC-SA. I have never had a problem with either company, i just prefer it.

Thanks isti, I’ve been wanting to compare them for some time.
The SanRenMu7010LUC-SA, no question, it just feels better in the hand and opens smoother out of the box.
I’ve no affiliation with either company and no shops or stores - in fact I rate the Enlan EL-01 as a real classic but I find myself buying more SRM knives, their smaller ones are non-locking a lot of the time so I can EDC a great variety.
