Ultrafire C8 XM-L T6 Arrived today!

Ordered the 23rd of July and it gets here August 15th, but in great condition...finely packaged, not a scratch on it. I had purchased it with protected 18650 cells which came fully charged and with the charger. These were 3000 mAh.

Bear in mind, I got up after a toss-and-turn sleep at 9:20 and headed out to the post office to get it, as it was too big to fit in the box. The post office is right next door, but I'm disabled so I anxiously drove next door and claimed it. My anxiety made the inconveniently short trip fun!

I get home and yank it out of the package and light this baby up. It's bright outside and I have skylights and white walls, which spells terrible testing for flashlights during the day. It didn't matter, of course. I was impressed to see an even whiter and more overcoming circle of light bouncing off of those walls and eating up the outside light. Very white tint, maybe a touch of purple, but its hard to tell.

I guess I'm not used to the fatter, wider beams of the XMLs yet. I play with the settings and then grab some other lights to compare. No comparison. This one handsomely beats them. It is now my brightest pocket-able light for sure. I'm guessing about 475-to-590 lumens out the front, though I have no measuring equipment to test it. Could be more.

In addition to the beam profile, I'm not used to the human eye being so poor at judging brightness in the higher lumen ranges.

So, when night cometh, I shall play!

C8 heads are pretty good at turning XM-L's into decent throwers. You will be amazed at how much light comes out of that thing!

The night time will bring with it a huge good first impression of your new XML. The C8 is probably the best bang for the buck in its size for this emitter of any light I have yet to come across. Enjoy!

Rusty Joe where did you but it from and the price? link please.

http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/ultrafire-c8-xml-t6-3mode-led-flashlight-118650-p-5271 $25, with charger pack and 2 Trustfires.

Been playing. Definitely happy with the purchase.

Are you saying that you got a package deal with the charger and batteries for $25, or did you add them seperately?

Definitely please clarify because if that light comes with a charger and two cells for $25 I will order it one second after you say so.

Breakdown as follows...

[SKU:5679] 1 x UltraFire BRC 18650 3.7V 3000MAH Rechargeable Batteries - Protected (Pair pack) = $14.12
[SKU:3872] 1 x Dual Li-Ion 18650 Battery Charger = $7.99
[SKU:5812] 1 x UltraFire C8 XM-L T6 3-Mode LED Flashlight (1*18650) = $25.00

Total: $49.11 with trackable package option.

Thanks for clarifying.....was just about to jump on that like KingGlamis was.

me too. lol

Any tailcap readings. I am thinking about getting another c8 xml (got a kd) and might try the ultrafire - if the readings are right.

Unfortunately, no. I don't have the equipment. But I can speak from experience about the regulation and output. This is one mean little light! I've been using it frequently and I'm still on the first charge. The second battery sits ready to go. :-) Nice tint, functionality, etc.

I might grab one of the p7s from manafont or ebay just to compare. But I hear the Xm-L Ultrafire is still the big boy among the single 18650s. Honestly, I don't know how much brighter the double 18650s will be able to get!

Any updates Rusty Joe? Any outdoor beamshots? Seriously considering this light.
