Zeusray FL05518 clickie replacement? ( its sealed)

I bought two Zeusray FL05518 zoomable 18650 lights a few months ago. The clickie switch is a sealed unit and i cant remove it from the tail cap. Is there another tailcap wit a removable clickie that will fit this light? with my other lights when they would start flickering i would remove the clickie, take it apart clean the contact points and stretch or replace the spring and the light would be good as new for a few more months. With the Zeusray FL05518 I cant get the tailcap apart to fix the clickie at all because it sealed with some clear plastic type stuff. Any ideas? I love the light just cant stand it flickering and going dull in the middle of use.

I put the tailcap in a vise and slowly squeeze the switch out —- putting a pad on the pushbutton and a short cylinder over the contact end that’s longer than the innards (contact pin) to protect that.

Sometimes it’s possible to just pinch the soft plastic putton cover and pull it right out of the tailcap, and then put something around the pushbutton so the vise presses on the body of the switch.

Then slowly close the vise so it presses on the button/switch end, and forces the inside part out of the tailcap.

A few times I’ve done that and found just rebending the metal tabs so they made better contact with the tailcap fixed the problem.

Or, first —
If you pull the soft button thing out, you might try a shot of tuner/contact cleaner first, if that works then you can shoehorn the soft button cover back into place.

I forget which switch works as a replacement, someone will know. I think I got some from Fasttech.

ZeusRay made so many variations it’s hard to guess what’s in any particular light.

With no battery in that light and the tailcap screwed on, press on the switch button real hard and it will pop out to the inside of the light. It’s just press fit on the 3 I have, although one of them took some considerable pushing before the retainer and switch popped out.

Mine all started flickering too, and as Hank recommended a quick bend of the contacts (I actually shimmed mine with a scrap of paper) fixed it right up.

Thanks for the ideas. I got it out in the vise using a socket and a piece of foam rubber for protection. I pushed into the body so I didnt lose it in my messy garage LOL.

So — does anyone have a small enough switch to recommend that will drop into the ZeusRay tailpiece?

I have several different Omten switches but all of them are bigger than the little white switch in the flashlight.
