how many 7135 chips for max output

how many 7135(350ma) chips is require to get the max output of XM-L2?
the calculation is ma by the “typical forward voltage” of the led?

If you use 380mA chips then max output would be about 15/16 chips for 5.7A/6.08A

On an older XM-L2 I'd say 14-16 total chips, but for most of the recent variety I'd say 12 chips---anything more than that and I'd just go to an FET driver. The 16+ chip drivers are really only useful anymore for multiple emitters in parallel.
