Doesn't say which bin the MC-E is, but the claimed brightness implies an older one. What would be nice would be the M bin dropin that DX sells with the 501B in a Solarforce L2.

The numbers from my light tests are always to be found here.

KD and specs just don't happen it seems. I have purchased a fair few items of them now, but would have brought more but the specs or lack of just make it too much of a lucky dip...

@Don - Solarforce body costs 9$ right now, so the total would be not much more expensive than the above KD light...

The beam profile of that dropin is kind of on the Blue side......I guess for me i would get it but get another dropin to go along with it.

With Darkness, there will always be Light.

Makes sense - get a nicer body and a really powerful dropin. Just remember heatsinking and all should be well. The 501b body is fine with incandescent dropins, but there's nowhere for the heat to go from an LED dropin.
