It's a 3x AA light host that should be fairly moddable. It's a bit thick and heavy for a AA light. I don't recall if the pill is solid or hollow, but IIRC, it can take standard 17mm drivers and 16mm PCB. I can measure the reflector if you like, for possible replacements.
Mine was not functional on receipt, but I bought it for host-duty anyway, so I kept it as-is. I still haven't built anything using it yet...
sort by date — it’s been a few weeks and so I can’t tell you what’s available now, but you can find them from time to time.
You can get creative searching if you want to spend the time sorting through an ’oogle-barf: https://www.google.com/search?q=flashlight+AND%223xAA%22+OR%223+AA%22-AAA&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#q=flashlight+AND%223xAA%22+OR%223+AA%22-AAA±xenon+AND+CNQG+OR+DX
Of course, searching here at BLF (search box, upper left corner) is endlessly fascinating, tho’ some of the sources are defunct (like Manafont, long gone)

Hmmmm, I guess the 3AA “Police” might Lego/Frankenstein into a 4xAA light, if that 3xAA thread fits a SK68.
But no. I’ve got to stop somewhere.
Does anyone have a currently working link to a seller that has both the 2xAA “3W Police” and the SK58, or 68, or #3 zoomie, cheap, for Lego/Frankensteining?
The nicest looking Frankenstein’s Lego I’ve made takes the tube and switch from a 2xAA Police, added to a SK58 (with a decent emitter and driver swapped in)
— SK58 has better balance and fewer sharp edges than the SK68.
But I don’t know a good source for cheap SK58s.
OK. Got these in.

Zoom to Flood is amazing
Unfortunately; The body is 22mm diameter and equally fat like my 18650’s flashlights. Bummer. Wish It was thin like my 2xAA MiniMags.
True: looking at this picture shows the tube wall to be much thicker than necessary. It's the same with the cheap eBay light I linked to previously as well.
