Looking for a component from a tail switch

Just like the title says. I’m looking for this white thingy. The switch wouldn’t work without it. This current one is from a solarforce switch. Any site I can order this from? I don’t even know what it’s called… :frowning:

I’m having some problems with my Flickr so you can juz click on the broken square as it’s a link to the photo

I can’t help with the spacer but with the picture…

I just click on the small arrow pointing down and select original size, than the picture opens in a window/tab. This link can normally embedded in the forum

I did copy the photo url but somehow it doesn’t work :frowning:

Thank you!!

Could probably stack up some nylon washers.

A flat steel washer with the same inside diameter hole and same outside diameter of the plastic part will work fine as a replacement. All the plastic part does is locate the switch itself. The part in the following link will give you an idea what I'm talking about.

Thanks guys! I’ll see what I can do

When you buy a replacement switch from SolarForce, it comes with that spacer, as well as the retaining ring, & spare boot.

… at least the one’s I have bought in the past have.

But I will have no use for the tailcap :frowning:

You may have no use for a tailcap now but the more we spiral out of control with this hobby we find we never have enough spare parts on hand.

You can get the switch assembly by itself for 2$, which has all the bits I mentioned above.

Ohh thanks! I’ll check it out
