Keeppower 18500 2000mAh (Black) 2015

Official specifications:

  • Standard discharge cut-off voltage: 2.50V
  • Standard charge current: 1000mA
  • Standard discharge current: 1900mA
  • Max. continuous discharge current: 8A

These cells from Keeppower have very good capacity for 18500 cells, but are not for very high load.

Very nice discharge curves with good tracking and constant capacity up to 3A. The 7A trace is cut short due to the protection kicking in.

Conclusion

This is very good batteries for their size for lower current applications, but if you have the size 18650 is better.

Two of these cells has about the same length and voltage as 3xCR123, the diameter is larger and the capacity is higher.

Very nice battery, thanks for testing. I will look out better for 18500 size flashlights now.

Thanks for the review!

Looks like some progress is being made here with regards to capacity in 18500.
