I stopped buying from DX.com because they required signature upon delivery and I’m not home during the day. Visiting my local post office is also hard to do because of my work hours. So I have a hard time getting my hands on my long awaiting flashlight. (also - shipping to my work or neighbor isn’t an option).
It has been a few years since I ordered and now need a new AA-S1 OSRAM AA light. Does DX still require delivery signature? Fasttech and others do not.
I think it depends entirely on the shipment method and the cost of the purchased merchandise. I’ve received parcels from DX that did not require signature, and many that do. I think there is a dollar value, above which, DX ships via registered mail. These parcels require signatures. Some parcels from FT and other vendors require the same signature.

Do you have a cafe or other business you are friendly with? I have a friend who gets his packages delivered to a cafe near his office.
My brother usually asks the seller to add delivery instructions to leave package under chair if no one home, most of the time it works.
