Hi, i’m new to this forum. I’ve been looking at Ebay for flashlights for use as bike lights and the 6xLED Skyray King looks to be really good value for money. I want to use it on my bike only I know from a previous Chinese flashlight, the zoomable W878, the strobe function is far too frequent and dazzling to other road users. The beam is also indiscriminate and not ideal for road use.
I would like, if possible, to alter the frequency of the strobe to around 3 or 4 Hz, is it possible to modify the driver to enable this? A 3Hz Low-Strobe mode would be ideal for a urban environment.
Another thing i’d like is to modify the tint, the idea is to emulate a motorcycle so cars might give more room. Motorcycle lights emit a warm white glow while standard bike LEDs are always cool whte. Changing the LEDs is a no-go, so could I get an adhesive tint to stick on the front of the light? I could also dip the light so as not to dazzle oncoming drivers.
