I chose this light to review due to it’s dual switch layout. The feel of the light in hand is good, not to weighty but has substance. The switches are just how I like them fairly firm with a good click feeling to know when you have activated. The light feels good in both 1x 26650 and 2x 26650 configurations. It is supposed to work with 1x and 2x 18650 but only came with a single 18650 to 26650 adapter.

Overall the light is build very well. Good thick threads well lubed, but a little stiff to unscrew. Double o-rings everywhere. The XM-L2 appears genuine and is well centred giving a nice throwy beam profile within the deep reflector. Focus appears good with a clean beam profile very little rings. GITD o-ring behind the bezel and it even has led’s to back light the side switch when the tail is switched on.

Some negatives including the missing adapter, the threads are sharp with evidence they are cutting the o-rings. I find it hard to unscrew. Output is definitely not th 2000 lumens advertised probably in the 600-800 region. I dislike the modes and the order. In a light like this L-M-H evenly spaced would be much better.

I am pleased with this light with its deep reflector and 2x 26650 configuration I think this will be a good XHP host. I will get round to a tear down in the new year and modding the light.
I shall leave you with some beam shots. All shot ISO1600 18mm f/2.8 1/50Sec

Hello!

A couple of days ago I posted this A9 extension tube question thread on Banggood: Tube thread size?

Well, it is obvious they've not understood it (as usual). It happens I have a 26650 host with an M31×1 threading extension tube and was wondering if this tube would fit. Any chance?

Cheers ^:)

I can try and find out for you tonight, I don’t know off the top of my head.

Just updated the banggood thread with this quote:

Mmm…

Hello!? :-)

Cheers ^:)
