My XinTD C8 V4 XML2 is not working properly

It has been used for maybe an hour max. It mostly stays in my wife's glove box. I pulled it out to check the battery which was about 90% and soon found out that the light is no longer bright? It has the same three modes but the high is about 20 lumens the mid is about 5 lumens and the low is about moon light. I changed the battery didn't help, cleaned the threads, by passed the switch, removed the O rings, nothing helps.

Any ideas what to do next?

Thanks

Brian

Did you measure the current?
Swap the driver?

I cannot measure the current and was wondering if there was something I was overlooking before I swapped the driver.

Thanks

Check the retaining rings are tight, and swap the battery out. Other than that, it may be a driver issue. Please let us know what you find….

Before you do surgery...clean under the rings, the end(s) of the tube, where the driver and switch make contact to ground.

I accidentally de-domed the LED trying to remove the pill. Barely touched it but .......oh well.

So now I want to replace the driver and the LED. Will any of the new Kick A$$ drivers made for the group buys work in this light I will measure the driver in a bit ?

Both are 17mm so I ordered the BLF A6 as a replacement. Thinking about a XPL HI as a replacement LED. This light doesn't use a centering ring so I don't see too much of a problem doing this.

I’m interested in the same flashlight, with either the L2 or G2 LED. Before yours acted up, how did you like it, and how was the throw with the XM-L2? Keep us updated how your upgrade goes.
