I’m looking for a pink host to build a light for my girlfriend, I recently lit up the back yard with my BLF A6 and she said “wow that’s awesome, I’d like a flashlight like that!”
So instead of getting her a black Astrolux S1 I want to build her a pink custom with simple modes. I’m planning on using a MTN-17DDm with guppydrv DUAL
I recently saw this photo on banggood in the listing for the new version convoy clip, and I see it’s also shown in Simons aliexpress shop (also in the new clip listing only) it appears to be an s2, this would be perfect but I couldn’t find the flashlight or host, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it before I message Simon about it.
It was talked about in one of the Convoy threads. Apparently it’s a sample that a supplier sent to Simon to show off the color, but Simon didn’t/doesn’t have any plans to order it.
Seems like a complicated procedure with wiring up electrical charged aluminum plates for anode and cathode in an acid bath, but might be worth a try someday.
