Knife Review: Spyderco Temperance 2 4.8inch fixed blade (VG-10)

Ok now I’ll review something nicer, like this fixed blade classic from Spyderco. The temperance 2 is a big fixed blade that weighs less than most cheapie fixed blades I’ve reviewed. Anyway, check it out. This knife was loaned to me for review, by a friend.

Thank you for this review. I am just getting into fixed-blade knives (only had folders so far) and this comes at the perfect moment for me.

Hopefully it gives you an idea what the difference is between an expensive and cheap fixed blade. It comes down to balance and weight mostly… That and blade steel. But it has been debated many many times how much better cheap vs expensive steel steel holds up. The answer isn’t simple, and I suggest you research opinions on the types of steel certain blades use.

Nice one $$$$$$$$$……review too :sunglasses: . What I need is a replicant…clone,copy……China Chaser…

ETA: I was afraid to even look up the price on the SpyderCo. Call me budgetly CHEEP…

I’m a cheap guy too. If I were to put a price on what I’d pay for it… Considering the blades I already own… I’d pay $120ish for it and not feel ripped off. No way I’d pay retail for it though.

I agree with you 100%, a lovely knife, but to pricey for a lot us.

Thanks mhanlen for another fine knife review. The one eyed smiley face at the end certainly got the chop.

Too funny on the nice review. LOL

I personally hate cheap inferior products. I do not skimp on knives or guns. Not when your life depends on it.

Chop chop! Thanks!

Nice stuff exists for a reason. It’s a damn fine blade for sure.
