I highly doubt you would get 3 amps out of that driver. You can get these from shiningbeam that give 2.8amps in a couple days.

The shinning beam driver wont work as its designed for max 6.0V. Some guy at CPF was building 8.4V (2 x LICO cells) maglites using the KD driver and they do in fact deliver 3A to an XML. I have the same driver on the shelf and havent yet had time to mod my light.

I guess I was wrong just looking at the board I could not recognize how it would work to get 3 amps from 4.2 volts, but if someone confirmed it works at 8.4 volts that would make sense.

Alright I am going to order one to test I will run it with 2 18350s and see what it does. I will report back in about a month when I finally get it. KD has been slow as hell lately I think they are trying to give DX a run for there money.
