I use mostly single cells and an Xtar sp-1 for its power bank aspect. In the truck I keep an mc-1 and mc-0 for smaller cells. Depends really on what size and how many your noob needs to charge at one time.
Judging from exterior, build quality and feel is identical with LiitoKala Lii-100. I believe XinShengLi Power Co., LTD is the manufacturer. Their chargers bare with several labels like Colaier (new), LiitoKala (well-known in the past), and VariCore (2015). Voltage? I remember was measured under 4.22V when I removed from the bay.
The problems as I see it with chargers that don’t undergo a good technical review (example HKJ) is that one never knows what the charging algorithm is regardless of what the battery ends up at. Some also trickle charge after being “done” but at least one can measure that.
These days I only consider chargers that HKJ reviewed (and it’s a fairly large universe) and don’t even consider other chargers regardless of how they look or what their specs may say.
I am quite happy with my Colaier Lii-500 too. I am using it side by side with my OPUS and Nitecores. My OPUS v2.1 has aged, that is why I need an back up for verification purpose.
I bought a couple of the LiitoKala Lii-100 chargers after reading HKJ’s review and I really like them. If he does a review on the Colaier charger and he gives it good marks I’ll probably buy it . For the price with 2 slots it would be a nice addition to my chargers. Since I can only do a poor analysis with my DMM I’ll wait for a professional to test and review it
