Another quickie flash review of Lumintiop Torpedo 007

Light was provided by Lumintop for review.

I was surprised to receive message from Lumintop's rep asking to do a review, given how long it took me to do review on their SD10NW/WW version as well as my criticism of that light.

Anyway, given the size of this review as well as experience gained while taking a look at this flashlight I wouldnt blame them sending me another light for review say no sooner than in about two-three years !

Light came in nice package, in a good looking jewelry type box:

Inside the box light itself is fastened by the rubber to hold it in place and avoid getting scratches from included carry chain:

Aside from regular stuff like spare o-rings and carry chain and instruction theres also CR123A battery included thats stored inside the light:

Battery comes with insulation at the bottom to avoid accidental activation:

Some beauty shots of this light :

Dat ass, lol:

Tried to unscrew the head and couldnt, didnt put too much effort into it though since didnt want to ruin this light:

Threads are fine and smooth:

Heres the instruction, not much of instructions given that I had to figure out that mode switching is done via double click, ie, you turn off the light and quickly turn it on, no mode memory, always starts on low, moonlight mode is after HIGH without any shortcut to it, which is absolutely unacceptable:

The light itself looks good, well crafted, albeit very slippery so I cant imagine using this as your EDC light, its way too easy for it to slip out of your grip(having tailcap switch adds to the issue, side switch would mitigate it that to some extent), modes appear to be spaced good enough, tritium glowstick at the bottom of light is rather dim(blue on this light), but should work good enough in total darkness, runs on CR123A/RCR123A batteries which isnt exactly the most popular format but some people like 'em.

Overall good looking(though Im not a fan of these torpedo-looking lights with flame ornaments on them) but impractical light with good build quality and premium packaging that aint cheap.

Thanks for looking and thanks Lumintop for sending me this one !

Thanks vēer for the short review.

I had won this light in their giveaway and I agree on the unacceptable mode order, they chose the mode order low-to-high and so it makes no sense and is confusing not to start on moon.

I do like the looks, the tiny size, the tail e-switch and the very good output.

I also did a mini review of this light. Certainly a light for people who like style over substance.

Agree, folks.

I will be giving away mine since it was only unpacked for review shots, mode check and thats about it, theres nothing special about this light that would want me to keep it or gift to non-flashaholics and it seems that I have already too many lights laying around unused with only couple of minutes of runtime  !

Im sure that someone from BLF will certainly enjoy it though!
