And the prodigal light returns!

This made my Christmas (Eve)…

About a month ago(!) I lost my EDC light. I’ve posted about it frequently here; it’s an old TrustFire F20, modded repeatedly. I’ve carried this light as my normal EDC for several years. Currently with a CW XM-L2 emitter, Nanjg 101-AK driver, aftermarket reflector, replaced switch, etc…

On Christmas Eve, I was working in the yard and found it on the ground in the leaves! I was very happy to see it, picked it up, and was even happier to see that it had remained watertight, even after a month of rain, freezing cold, and warm weather days! Took it in the house, popped the battery in the charger to top it off, and it’s back in my pocket today! Other than a bit of surface rust/discoloration on the pocket clip, it’s completely unharmed by the ordeal.

I’ve lost this light several times, but have always found it again. I am dreading the day this light is gone forever, as there is no way I could replace it.

nice congrats!
:+1:

Nice, wish I could find my favorite pocket knife I misplaced 5 months ago. I have confidence it will show up again sometime. Hopefully the lawn mower won’t find it.

Nice!
Wish I could find my two 18350s. Moved, now I can’t find ’em. :frowning:

That’s a good story! I found one of my lights that I had been missing the other day also.

Awesome!

Have you considered something like the Tile or Trackr? Might relieve some of the anxiety about the day you dread.

Glad you found it. I can imagine the pleasure and relief of the occasion.

GTH that your flashlight-friend got back home :+1: Back in the days of yore I devoted many hours looking for lost incan Solitaire’s which had an annoying habit of jumping off the belt-loop keyring clip I used to use :rage: In-pocket with the keys now and my E09 hasn’t been lost yet. I’ve “lost” lights at work a few times crawling under houses but that doesn’t count as I know as soon as I get back out they are gone and knowing where I’ve been makes the finding easy. That’s why I gravitated to a keychain light for my EDC even though I’d actually prefer something bigger. And let’s not get started on lost knives- I’m still mad about losing an orange-colored bone handled Uncle Henry ‘barlow’ about 20 years ago- just one of a score of of lost knives for me :frowning:
