I recently started to mod a Zebralight SC30W, encouraged by this thread: Anybody successfully opened a Zebralight before?
This light is perfectly suited for a high CRI Nichia 219B, maybe also 219C.
The SC30W was brand new from a German shop that still has 22 units in stock (I can send you the link per PM). I asked the owner for a good price when we would buy the whole remaining stock. He would sell them to me for 30 Euro per light.
I promised him to let him know by end of January, whether I found enough members here to facilitate a group buy.
Costs would be as follows:
- Worldwide shipping for 1 to 3 lights is 3,70 Euro, for 4 to 6 it is 7,00 Euro. Tracking is available for additional 2,50 Euro. Within Germany it will be cheaper, depending on the service you choose.
- As paying with Paypal is the only reasonible option, there will be a 5 % charge on the payment.
- I also have to buy some parcel boxes, which will be 0,50 Euro per box.
- I will not earn any money with this, it is just my contribution to this forum. The only thing I will do is to remove the CR123 battery that is included, as it might cause some problems with the shipping. It is already 8 years old, anyway.
Two examples for resulting prices:
- 1 light with standard int. shipping: (30 + 3.70 + 0.50) * 1.05 = 35.91 Euro
- 3 lights with tracked int. shipping: (90 + 3.70 + 2.50 + 0.50) * 1.05 = 101.54 Euro = 33.85 Euro per light
For reference: If ordered directly from the shop it would be 48 Euro shipped, but only within Europe (38 Euro in Germany).
Please answer in this thread like in the examples above, if you are interested. Deadline is January, 29th, 23:59 o’clock German time. If we are succesful, I will send you my Paypal address on the next day. Payment has to be made within the next 24h then.
