Newbie charger?

Ok. First of all I really enjoy the posts at this forum. You are all a very helpful group!

I’ve been researching universal chargers. I am looking for one that can analyse the installed battery. I would like to charge Eneloops and 18650 batteries.

I’ve narrowed it down to the Xtar VC2 Plus unless there are better models for the price. I don’t really think I need 4 bays, but it’s not a deal breaker. I’d rather stay around $30, nothing extremely fancy.

I have the VC4 which I really like, but have also very recently bought the Liitokala Li-100 for about $4 which is superb as a quick and easy charger to keep handy rather than dragging out the VC4 if I just need a single cell sorting.

I wasn’t aware the VC2 could analyze? It is a good charger no doubt. Lii-500 or lii-260 or lii-300 seem to be somewhat well regarded.

I think I am looking at the specs wrong. Does the VC4 analyze ?

What do you mean by analyze? If you mean measuring discharge capacity and internal resistance, then no, it does not do that.

In your price range, look at Lii-500 mentioned earlier. Alternatively Opus 3100, which is a bit more expensive but you can sometimes find a coupon that brings the price down to under $30.

I’d like to be able to tell how charged the cell is. I don’t need fancy features.

As has already been said by a few, the LiitoKala Lii-500 would do exactly what you are wanting. It will do it well too. :+1:

Contact M4D M4X and ask for a Coupon Code , you’ll be glad you did.

Lil500 was less than $17 a few weeks ago. 4bay good charger. Gearbest is da man!
