@presterjohn. So they told you they lost it in the post, then offered a refund? If that’s the case and they admitted that it was lost, surely they could just send another?

Do they still show stock of that light and are they going to continue selling it? If so, they could send another, if not then I understand the refund.**

BG ( Banggood ) …

If you are getting the dirty end of the stick , U are certainly free to shop else where … There are plenty of vendors out there .. Though it seems that over the years favorites come and go .. And BG is certainly working for most . I don’t know of any other online Dealer that works as hard as BG , not just good prices but public relations and product reviews . I don’t see that much posted about DX – KD – and several other vendors that were in flavor a few years ago . ( Not enough to notice in anyways ) I think last year I set a new record for claims against Ebay sellers .. ( Stuff never arrived ) And over that same period BG has come through every time . Now when I shop , I make sure to check BG before handing over money .. My last purchase being a Eachine E0-10 micro quad , with BG points set me back some $15.75 AUS … If BG has the item at or close enough to Feebay prices , I will send my money to BG . With such a large customer base , there are sure to be some customers that are not happy .

Always remember , the easiest thing in the world to do , is to expel hot air from your lungs and through some vocal chords ..
The resulting sound may , or may not be worth listening too ….

Topic starter, next time, take refund and order again, always go for the easiest solution.
Pulsar, what does description of the OL light says? If it does not say anything about NMM tough luck, it ia known they changed it taking a lot of the attractiveness away from the A01. Yet you got a light that works as intended so can’t blame BG for not meeting your expectations.
All, chill, in all cases keep it friendly and with CS clear is the best way to go Wink

I have had excellent customer service from Banggood, once I cooperated by posting a video of the issue, I got a refund. They even let me keep the defective light (Astrolux M01 that flickers and is totally unreliable).

Note that replying to their email gets no response, I get results by replying through their webform email each time I need to communicate with them.

I compared Bangood to Gearbest a few months back. I ordered a Copper Tool from each of them. The Bangood order took 2 weeks to arrive, the Gearbest order took 3 weeks.

I don’t see a problem with either one, if you’re not in a hurry Smile

Like The Miller said, I always accept the refund they offer first, not a replacement.
Then I order the replacement separately, if Im still interested in gambling on the same model light
(Im a slow learner, stubborn, persistent, or dumb, depending on the day).

I’ve purchased a number of products on Banggood and never had a problem. Everything arrived in a timely manner. I consider them a trusted seller and would buy from them again.

Banggood has treated me well. Even offering compensation after uploading photos. I did not even ask for it. I just informed them of a decline in the quality of an item. Suggesting their new supplier is not providing a good product. I have placed many orders and hope to place many more. I recognize, though, that some feel differently.

It was a titanium flashlight that was on special offer when I bought it. It has remained in stock but has never dropped down to the sale price I paid for it again. If it had I would have simply taken the refund.

Well fair enough, I would also want another light posting, else you’d end up paying more for it afterwards.
Seems a bit odd that they didn’t just post another one if they also thought it had been lost in the post. Did it have tracking?

This deal happened during that time they had loads of trouble with whoever was dealing with shipping. I think they were faking deliveries or something. I believe lots of deliveries failed to get to customers world wide at the time.

So. You order a light, it doesn’t arrive, you tell Banggood, they say hang on for a bit longer, it may still be in transit,….still no light, you tell them no light, a bit of toing and froing..
…,they admit it must be lost in transit, (they’re having a lot of problems with their current shipping company) they offer a refund, you don’t want a refund, you want the light you ordered, they say take the refund (but the discount offer has expired now, it’ll cost you more when you reorder it), you say no thanks, I would like the light that I ordered please, sorry you can’t have the light now as 6 months has passed and that’s our policy, we’ll keep your money, thanks.
Something like that?

Regardless of any so called policy, they should honour your purchase with a replacement after all, you only want the light that you payed for.
Out of principle, you shouldn’t have to involve PayPal either, it doesn’t bode great confidence in a company if you need to involve PayPal to get your problem sorted.

If you’ve spent a long time trying to get a seller to honour a contract and deliver the promised item instead of weaseling out with a refund, but now decide to cut your losses and get a refund after all, some credit card companies will allow chargebacks a year or even two years after the payment date.

It’s worth contacting your credit card company and asking about that possibility, even if you are past the “last estimated delivery date plus 30 days” EBay give you, or the “payment date plus 180 days” PayPal offer.

I have at least 20 or 25 lights, batteries, chargers ext. over the last 6 months. I am waiting for an order to arrive any day now. This is the first late delivery out of every order I have ever placed with BangGood however, it has nothing at all to do with them.

Here in the U.S. FedEx Smartpost takes care of the package once it clears customs. I track every package from the date I get a tracking number to the day it arrives. FedEx has left my package sitting for 4 days now in a hub that is only an hour away. It was scheduled to arrive yesterday but again it has not moved. The scan shows it is moving lol and if it is someone is walking it here.

I called FedEx yesterday and they dropped the ball which is almost always the case. It should arrive Wednesday after the holiday.

There is nothing at all that anyone at BangGood could have done about this this is all on FedEx. Even arriving a but late it will still make it in 15 days.

I placed an order very late last night for one of the BLF models that I had not noticed was on sale. My order date shows 7-4-2017. I will try my best to remember to post the date it arrives and it's condition.

To date I have always had good service from BangGood.

A ban would be a drastic measure. If a company were purposely trying to cheat or mislead members I could understand a discussion about taking some sort of action.

As a small business owner we triple check everything to solve problems before it ever causes issues with customers and with very good results but, my sales are probably only about 1 percent of the sales of BangGood or even less.

I am just thinking of what it could do to my business if by chance a problem did slip by and a posting like this came up with my name on it.

Just checked: I ordered 19 times at banggood and did not have any issue.
Very competetive prices, functional website and I especially appreciate the BLF and Astrolux special editions !!!

I’m pretty disappointed with them right now, as I’ve been dealing with a CSR since June 26 on a defective multimeter backlight out of the box and now they expect me to completely disassemble it, take pictures and send it to them to prove A. that I opened it and B. the supposed LED cable is broken. I was even willing to pay return shipping for an exchange, but at this point, I’ve given up and am going to either return for a refund or file a Paypal claim. I’ve had a couple of small issues with BG in the past, but this is the first time they’ve gone completely out of their way to alienate a customer over a $40 meter.

Banggood’s return policy is not the quickest or easiest but all the times I had a problem with any item they agreed to fully refund me.

In my opinion, asking for pictures, videos or other form of evidence for a defective product is fair and understandable when they refund without requiring you to ship anything back.

Never really had a real problem with Banggood. (There was the Comet incident, but when the truth finally came out about that the fault did not really lie with Banggood…. they just got stuck with cleaning up the mess.)

I had one light arrive DOA (not BG’s fault) and one with a screwed up bore in the battery tube (again, not BG’s fault). Both issues were very easily solved within 48 hours.

Customer service was easy to deal with and pleasant.

No complaints from me about Banggood. 5 of 5 Star Rating…….. Thumbs Up

I have had great service from Banggood. all my orders have arrived with no problems, and the couple times i had a problem with an item a few years back they quickly sorted it out for me. Sorry to hear that you had a problem, but many of us here had good service and satisfaction from Banggood. i have ordered a lot of items and lights from them, and still do.

I just told them nicely not to expect a picture or video of light that did not work. Worked fine for me. That step was eliminated. Smile

I don’t mean to be rude but nowadays being technologically challenged also means facing certain situations in life. They’re not asking you to take professional quality photos and videos, just any quick snap or record to demonstrate the problem and to confirm it is not user’s misuse or fault. It can be done in seconds and if you lack a computer you can just send them the pictures via email from your phone or tablet. IMO anyone capable of making an internet purchase is also capable of taking pictures and sending them online.

Again, I believe it’s fair when they don’t require the customer to ship the product all the way back to China. Just my honest opinion.

In this case, it wasn’t the asking of the pics/vids that was the problem. It was the fact that I explained the issue from the beginning and the csr simply doesn’t care to understand. I’ve sent pics and a video demonstrating the button for the backlight works, just no actual light. Now, the ask is for me to disassemble the meter, remove the PCBs and basically try to find what is likely a nonexistent lose “cable” which is supposed to be powering the backlight and send them pics/vids of the disassembled unit for further troubleshooting. Mind you I reported the issue on day 1 and this has drug on for almost a month, often with a 48 hour delay before I receive a response.

This is not a typical segmented LCD but a rather large dot matrix screen capable of displaying signal waveforms. From my past experience, once you disturb the zebra strip connection to the LCD or whatever other method they might use, the reliability of the display becomes suspect and I don’t want to risk it on a brand new device, which was why I asked for an exchange from the beginning. Alas either the csr or BG policy is trying to force the customer to troubleshoot, disassemble and repair new products.

Like many of you, I’ve had mostly positive experiences with BG in the past with 60 small and large orders in the past few years. This one though, is taking what seems like a small and simple problem/solution to a new level.

Enderman, you are probably to young (just a guess Smile ) to remember when the VCR first came out. Understanding that would go a long way answering your question…… Big Smile …. Wink

I purchased many items from Banggood and only had one defective item. I sent them a video which proved I wasn’t trying to take them for a ride and they promptly credited my PayPal account. I have no issues with them.

Teacher, my first VCR was a Sony Betamax back around 1977. I wish I still had it.

I heard that abtglenn. Thumbs Up .. I bet you do wish you still had it. I can’t remember what my first one was, but it is probably in it’s box sitting on a shelf in the garage. I rarely throw stuff like that away…… Facepalm

But, did you ever give your parents one for a present; hook it up for them with detailed instructions….. and it still go unused because it was just beyond them?

Yeah, the technology is sure here in 2017….. but there are still a few who basically want no part of it. Smile

My parents bought a VHS recorder back in the 80’s. They could never figure out how to program it. That said, I was at their house more than I was at my own trying to teach them the basics. The moral of this story is I SHOULD HAVE MOVE BACK HOME! What a pain in the ass they were. Don’t get me started on the day they bought an answering machine! LOL!
