2x 18650 aspherical options.

Hi gang.

I am looking for a decent quality host that is an aspherical zoomie. It needs to be a 2 cell either 18 or 26mm. Having a good quality pill is really important too. Preferably with a ring that threads in to hold the driver.

I found this that fits the bill fairly well, but it has a NON removable lanyard ring which is very poor for my project.

This would be great if it were 2 cell. The ability to attach it directly to a tripod is a super plus for the project.

The Haikelite HT35 is pretty new, and there are no reviews yet, but Haikelite’s been putting out pretty solid lights the last coupe of months. The lights are really beefy and well finished. Definitely worth checking out in my opinion.

The quality of that definitely seems right for the project. 26mm cells is a plus too. Does the pill for those have a ring to hold the driver in?

I don’t have much of anything useful to add, but that middle one just looks to be a rebranded UniqueFire 1406.

Edit: it looks like the 1406 has a big brother… the 1405 is 2x26650

Yes the Z1 has a good pill with a driver retainer ring afaik

It looks like a great light. I never would have guessed from the picture that it was a 2 cell body, but I see in the specs it is.

I clicked the purchase link but it says $590.00 At first I thought it was a typo, but now I see that is for 10pc LOL.

Nice. I see that gearbest has them for $26. Do you know anything about the pill on those?

It’s about $50 right now.

If it’s like the 1504, it’s aluminum with a pressed in brass ring that you solder to. Not great, but pretty easy to assemble.

This particular light is going to be a UV light for drying primer… Probly not that exciting :slight_smile:

Now that we're in, I'd also like to know about some good host. One or more cells, but (preferably) deep driver trunk and ∅20mm (or ∅22mm)? I choose fully regulated buck/boost drivers.
