WTB: Flashlight 1000-2000lmns. Good UI

I would really like to get a flight SR2 Baton, but I have heard about charging issues. Any similar knives that can recharge without the risk of blowing up?

1-2KLumens plus a nice throw. Still want a good edc and go light. Must have moonlight mod and strobe. Any good options out there?

I would like to stick to around a $59 budget but that can move either way for the right light.

Welcome to BLF!
Odd budget of $59
And rest assure knives won’t blow up because recharging them is really hard

I’m sure lots of recommendations will follow for 1000-2000 lumens is broad and 50 is a lot
Does runtime matters? For example a 26650 light will give you more runtime but is harder to pocket.

Zanflare F1, offhand. ~1klm, usb recharging, solidly built, only UI that doesn’t flat-out piss me off (that’s saying quite a bit).

Had a review posted here, can’t find it at all. Not “my threads”, not the search function, not even through gugle. Oh, well. You can poke around and find what you need…

Nitecore MH12

Eagle Eye X2R XM-L2 3C

Lumintop EDC25 XPL V5

Jetbeam ECR

Thrunite TC12 V2

Can you say what you want in an UI?

Nitecore mh20 or mh20gt

Charge it with direct 240voltage and you might have problems. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think I was drunk when I typed that out. Rest assured, I am looking for a FL. And it should have been $50. My fat fingers were too close to the 9 I guess.

I want something that will rotate modes without a super long press. Quick access to moonlight and high.

I would like to use an 18650 because I have a few of those. I am not super concerned about runtime as I probably will only use it for an hour or two tops. And not at high for long at all.

The zanflare sounds nice and the price is pretty good. What are the differences in the two light colors?

if you like yellowish beam(claimed to be more comfortable to eyes) then go with 4500~5000k range version, if you prefer white to sometimes almost a bit blueish beam, then go with 6000~6500k version

Yes and most people who have seen the neutral to warm white light come out of a flashlight tend to not want cold cool white

Yellowish between 4500-5000K?
I admit, 4000K tends to be yellowish, but 5000K certainly not

Unless things have changed, the AR glass seems to “warm” the light quite a bit (and towards green, but…).

I’ve seen both, and while without AR glass I’d prefer 4500K-5000K, in this case I actually preferred the 6000K (which seems to downshift about 1000K or so).

Ymmv.

Given my druthers, I’d replace the AR glass with regular ultraclear (to ungreen it a bit), and it’d be the perfect light.
