As i didnt get much back at my headlamp for snow thread i though to approch differently.
My winter project would be to build such a lamp what i think is good. Some one not long ago asked about HL for dog sledding…well those floody light aint gonna cut it.
I have made a Manker u11 to a headlamp and really like it…perfect beam with lots of Cd. Should have a bit more throw tho. But does anyone know if u11 hooked up 4x 18650 would regulate turbo mode with temp or time?
I have a T01 also which throw i adore but for close up work its too spot compared to u11.
Next project i think should be a multi optics lamp…to get more throw out and still have a bit flood. Maybe an Emisar D1 head+some penlight head run in parallel.
Any suggestions about a good driver which as a flat regulation with heavy step down near battery depletion - like modern headlamps do.
I plan having the switch(clicky or El) seperated from head and run 4 x 18650.
All ideas welcome.
