LOL, they’re like tribbles.
I remember when I had a single charger. ahh, simpler times.
Now I must have one at every location.
I’ve passed the sickness on to my kids, they scoff at Alkis.
Ugh, alkaleaks are hateful little things. Ruined so much crap it’s not even funny.
Just tossed one that still metered 1.45V, so you’d think it had plenty of oomf left in it. Got all white’n’fuzzy on the negative end, just sitting on a table. Inside a light? It’d be ruined…
Ruined a really nice Orcatorch AAA, browned one of the brass nipples in the tailcap of a TK4A, welded shut my gf’s old Micromag that I couldn’t even open it up with the toothy middle of slip-joint pliers.
the seller has their own line of batteries and lights, think they also sell the AAA Glaree which is pretty good. A few months back I had gotten one of their 1000 lumens E series light or something, but the side switch wouldnt budge and was impossible to switch modes so I returned it. they also have their own charger which I think is a clone/rebrand of ultrafire digital display one, it’s a pretty good charger, got a crazy deal on it, as to the nitecore being a fake, who knows, there are a lot of fake d4’s out there, but the seller seems legit.
I’m amazed that counterfeit chargers are even a thing. Seems like a very specific niche market, but they wouldn’t do it if there wasn’t money in it.
I’m also a little freaked out now, seems like I checked some aspect of my current D4 to see if it was legit but I’ve got several, well maybe 4 of the LiitoKala chargers and “burn down the house” is a very frightening prospect.
Do counterfeiters bother with silkscreening the board with what would look like the proper brand, model, info?
Some folks go to great lengths to game the amazon rating system, I’ll be tearing this thing apart before using!
Had this charger and it would only charge my lithium ion batteries from 4.12 to 4.13 volts. What kind of termination voltage are you guys getting, maybe mine was a dud.
Couple more tools: fakespot.com (guess that meta site is similar) and camelcamelcamel.com can check price history, blf probably know it, but if not great for reference.
