Ok so shortly after joining this forum Miranda contacted me about reviewing the VG10S and VG15S. Which I’m glad she did but unfortunately Amazon rejected my reviews, wtf Amazon. I guess I can see their point on bias for free products. Anyway, I owe her a couple of reviews. What good reviews by a novice will do on this forum is minimal at best. But here we go.
Likes Both:
- Price point, don’t feel the need to be gentle because they are so expensive
- Build quality
- No noticeable vampiric battery drain
- Water resistant to the point of submersion
- Dropped on concrete without effect
Dislikes Both:
- The switch takes some getting used to, but is easily mastered.
VG10S… This is the larger of the the two. I’ll probably move the clip to a different flashlight, I don’t really see the need for it on this size flashlight. It’s too big to be an everyday carry, more of a backpack or glovebox light. I would like to take the strap off this one and put it on the VG15S, but my wife likes it were it is at the moment.
VG15S… I really like this for an edc light, but the strap makes it a little bulky imho.
What I have been doing with them for the past couple of weeks. I have older terra cot pipes for surface water runoff going across my back yard. It goes through at least three of my uphill neighbors yards too. My part was broken and mostly filled with dirt. I’ve been using these lights while I’ve been blasting the dirt out with my pressure washer, using jetter nozzles. They have stood up to the abuse without issue.
Thanks for the lights Miranda, I have enjoyed using/abusing them
Edit to add,I like that both flat and button tops work both flashlights
