Question about batteries for Fenix TK75 (2900lm)

I’m trying to decide what batteries to get for the extension tube/battery carrier for my TK75 (2900lm).

I have the Fenix ARB-L2 batteries that came with the TK75 for the primary battery set.

My question is if I should get protected cells like the Panasonic NCR18650B or if I can go with the SamSung 30Q unprotected cells for the second set in my extension tube.
