Test/review of Sanyo UR18650Y 1900mAh (Red)

Sanyo UR18650Y 1900mAh (Red)

Official specifications:

  • Rated capacity: 1850mAh

  • Minimum capacity: 1900mAh

  • Typical capacity: 2000mAh

  • Charging: CC-CV, 1330mA, 4.20V, 38mA cut-off

  • Maximum charging current: 1C

  • Discharge cut-off: 2.75V

This is a older high capacity cell (Datasheet from 2012), it is not designed to deliver high current.

The discharge curves matches very nicely, datasheet only shows discharge curves up to 2C, i.e. around 4A, but it can handle more.

Conclusion

This was a very good cell some years ago, today both the capacity and the current ability is rather low.

Notes and links

Vapcell told me that I was missing some cells in my comparator and they would be happy to supply them.

Hello HKJ, thanks for another of your reviews!

The link for this cell below the “latest additions” on your website doesn’t show this review. Instead the 18650 comparator appears.

Thanks, it is fixed.
