The less-than-worthless SOS is hidden. Have to double-click to activate it - which is easy enough for me to avoid.

There was talk of another Wuben light in that thread (E05?) that looked more interesting than this E01.

I was just thinking that I needed to find a tail-switch AAA light.

I’ve ordered this one. I really hope Wuben hasn’t made it difficult to swap the LED.

Yup, it went puft! I hope that the reason why it was deleted was due to the change done in the UI meanwhile, so that we didn’t get confused! Other than that I can’t see a valid reason for information deleting!
The other light from them is the E05, yes, AA/14500 flashlight :wink:

But the E01 has become more attractive since the UI change! Let’s see what they do with the E05 :wink:

From low to high is a double-click as well - I wonder how quickly you can cycle through modes without triggering SOS.

I love AAA tail-clicky lights for EDC and the Wuben E01 looks good but the SOS mode is enough to make me think twice, even at this price.

My Thorfire TG06S (which I carry and use everyday) uses an extremely fast double click to invoke strobe mode, and it works OK. I never accidentally strobe myself. If Wuben implemented SOS in the E1 in a similar way, it shouldn't be a problem.

I think I might be more interested in this light in an AA/14500 form factor. I never seem to find much use for AAA lights - except 2 AAA pen lights.

Hmmm.

I bought an Astrolux AO1 Nichia 105 lumens a while ago. ($10.50AUD Del)
It sits on my keychain with 1942penny and a few keys.
Blends in nicely. Twisty. L/M/H (Hidden strobe thank god)
Shapely little thing that got away from those horrible. clumsy rear switches.
This one just another mini S2 Tube light.
Look at the Astrolux. Shapely in mid grey, 5 colours (from B.Good).
