Built in Micro USB

I have not seen much discussion on the Li-Lon Cells with the built in micro usb
I do not have one yet but i was thinking might be a good idea to have for EDC light that do not already have
a usb port built in. I wonder about longevity and reliability. Anyone?

I would not trust it: unknown cell. Instead take a look at the Lumintop LM34C and MecArmy U18-34. Both use a Panasonic NCR18650B cell.

One problem however is that these two cells use an actual 18650 cell. So with the added protection and charging unit, the length is definitely on the high side. So a lot of lights simply will not accept these batteries.

To me if you have to take the cell out of the light to charge it any way—you just as well use something like a MC-1 charger—-I’ve bought those as low as $3
