Seems if I know the current draw of my new C8+ I should be able to pick out a matching 18650 from all the batter reviews and discussions here - so what is the I (max) for my C8+?
Or if you have a fav protected high cap battery, what is it?
I’m currently using a single NCR MH12210 that’s about 3 years old and should get spare or two. (my other battery went missing with my prev lost flashlight)
convoy c8+, since it’s using amc7135 based driver, i’m confident that any batteries except cheap china one can handle it, but the most suitable is samsung 35E and ncr18650GA
And, specifically, the 8x7135 driver used in the C8+ draws ~3A on high.
As mrheosuper, that is well within the abilities of pretty much any high-capacity cell.
Nice to know the current draw. I suppose I could have put my meter inline, but that would have affected the actual draw a little and I was being kinda anal I guess.
Now I’ll look at the charts at 3A to get a feel for runtime too. The light came set at (I think) 1, 20, 100% which seems ideal to me so I should get great runtimes out of the new batteries.
