Hi you can get it for $35.99 shipped for Lightake.

Can you do a special Xmas price of $25 shipped as DD and doing the Olight I1 for $26.69 Which has a XM-L led.

People are buying that instead of Xtar.

It's a good price fo that olight but:

Specifications:

  • Power Source: 1 x CR123A Battery <- this
  • Max Throw: 68m
  • Low State: 4lm/3Days
  • Medium State: 40lm/5h10min
  • High State: 180lm/1h40min <- and this
  • Beam Candlepower: 1150cd
  • Battery Polar Reverse Protection: Yes
  • LED Type: CREE XM-L
  • Size: 6.4 x 2.0cm/2.5 x 0.8in(L x Dia.)
  • Color: Black

It's a shame they ruined that rather good design. I can vouch 1st hand for the XTAR. Might be 9 usd more but i think it's totally worth it (plus you get a decent protected 16340 along ).

Comes with a box if you want to gift it. It's my edc and will probably stay for a long time in hi-med-lo config (no disco).

Being only CR123A is a deal breaker alone for me. I like underdriven XM-L's but 180lm is insulting.

the xtar is much brighter, and was available on the bay recently for just under $33. i sure wish 18350's would fit, but at anywhere under $30 i'd get the xtar.

Nope, 16340 fit smoothly. Not much more space.

I use RCR123s in my Olight, no problems to date.

The Xtar is easily double the weight of the Olight.

Different horses for different courses. They are both great torches.

The Olight SS is available for $32

Yup, looks like Olight I series has the "same" spec for batt as ITP. They don't mention li-ion, but as far as I know, they all works with li-ion w/o problems. Someone else run their Olights with li-ion?

Seems like the Olight is the winner here is selfbuilt's review.

For all practical purposes, the Meteor is Li-ion only. Output suffers on 3V cells.

The Olight will handle both, and is brighter on 3V cells. It has almost the same max output as the Xtar (~400 lumen !), but heats up much more quickly.

The Xtar is significantly heavier, and the thermal mass comes in handy when gunning on MAX.

I like the option of programming modes, much less the clip (and price.)

At the same pricepoint, I would 100% grab the Xtar. For ten bucks less, the Olight seems to be a good choice.

Chicago X sums it up pretty well.

let me just whine one more time about the lack of 18350 compatibilty...
