I have a few of these, nice little AAA lights. The only compliant is 3 modes high, low and strobe in that order.
Well worth the money with the vipon discount even with the 
strobe. I may get two more when this goes live.

I had a Sofirn AA light a while back. I moved one of the wires going from the MCPCB to the driver to a different pin on the IC I think it was. I could be wrong. I was actually trying to fix a wire that fell off the driver and it happened by accident. 
It made it a single mode light. I liked it so much that I never did find the proper attachment point. Wonder if the driver on that light can be accessed easily enough to do the same?
Great little light, the strobe in the middle sucks, other than that everything else doesn’t suck. Good grip, positive feel good switch, clip it on your cap. Score at this price. I bought a few last go around. Oh ya, its got a glow in the dark O ring on the business end. I mean 6 bucks?
Was 5bux yesterday, limit 1. Ran out before an upcoming offer became active so I ditched both.

I haven’t taken it apart, but I’m sure the modes can be bypassed. Most drivers use PWM, turn them full on and its a single high mode.

The MCPB might be glued to threads, I bent my tweezers and scuffed the board up a bit trying to get it out.
Edit: It’s not a big deal for me. The NMM only lasts around 20 seconds and the High and medium is so close together, I use it as a single anyways.
