I modified a matching set of these lights with parts from MtnElectronics. The goal was set of bright WW zoomie flashlights with huge runtime abilities for daily and emergency use.
Well, my collection has grown and these are on the chopping block.
I’m asking $19 for zoomie #5 because of the wear. And $24 for the other two.
My cost for each:
$12.85 Battery (5200mAh 26650)
$14.34 Driver (GuppyDrv Rev2)
$10.74 XM-L2 on Noctigon
$ 5.39 Zoomie host
$ 5.00 Shipping
$48.32 That I paid for each
They weigh 8.8oz each, so cheap First Class Mail should cover your purchase.
Well it never came with a battery originally, so I’d say the ratio is off the charts As far as runtime, I have never had one quit on me, so I don’t know. I also haven’t charged one in over a year. The current voltage are all 3.6 to 3.9, which is right where I try to keep them. Storing them with full voltage is hard on batteries, and storing them with less means they don’t work in emergencies. These flashlights and batteries have all been taken very well care of.
A 5200mah battery is about the best you can get. So runtime is about the best you can get. Same for the LED, not much better out there.
? The battery in these is completely disconnected when it is off. In contrast, lights that have e-switches will keep the board powered, even when the LED is off.
